Ginny's Chairs

These chairs were upholstered with hot pink velvet in 1969 by my mother and I had them in my attic for years. A few weeks ago I threw some fabric over them. When I saw them without the PINK, I realized they were pretty cute and decided to upholster them!

I pulled off the trim and found a million tiny tacks and cracked damaged wood underneath.

Very cool old fabric (maybe the original) on the bottom but it's way to rotten for me to leave on.

the new fabric.
Its shiny and the photo doesn't show it off.
the paisley is for the bottom.

Cold Weather Dog

Rizzo's Jacket. Ian has good ideas for sewing projects. We made Riz pose on the piano. She was very patient while we took her photo.

To replace the one that was stolen.
Ian helped design this one too. He's got a great eye

I have a new camera and I am getting used to the settings and software.
I lost a few in the transfer and these are not great but you get the idea.

Sue's Journal/Padfolio cover

My grandson and I stayed up until about 2 am making this journal cover for his Mom. She loved it of course. Then she borrowed my car, put her stuff in it to take it to work in the morning and my car was stolen that night and she lost the book and all her stuff. My car is not recovered yet, nor her stuff. Ian, don't be upset. Even though it was special we can make another one.

T-shirt quilt for Cadie

Gab came over to work on this t-shirt quilt she started a few years ago, made with t-shirts she collected from some races she did while pregnant and when Cadie was a baby. It has a couple of photos of Cadie in the stroller as well!
